A 19th-century French ormolu Mantel Clock with urn surmounts. Beautifully ornate with the soft pink enamel, gilding and finely painted porcelain panels. Circa 1870.
Key features:
Clock Face: Roman numerals on a pink background, framed in gold. The centre showcases a cherub with delicate detailing. There is a fine crack to the face.
Top Detail: A decorative urn with floral motifs, draped with garlands and topped with a finial crown, adding a regal and romantic flourish.
Side Columns: Fluted pink and gold columns give the piece architectural elegance.
Lower Panel: A painted scene of a romantic couple in a pastoral setting, typical of 18th-century decorative arts.
Base: Tiered and gilded with floral accents, showing some charming patina and wear that adds to its antique authenticity.
Movement: The clock movement has been fully restored and is in excellent working order.
