A very uncommon piece, unlike anything we've had before. The exterior is in keeping with the restrained simple elegance of the Georgian era - not giving any hint of what may be hidden within it, instead, displaying a false key escutcheon in the pretense of a locked drawer!
Upon the discovery of the hidden opening, we are then delightfully surprised when the interior is revealed - a myriad of miniature compartments fitted with lids and a delicate painting on glass inserted inside the lid.
