An impressive Candelabra, circa 1820 and while not overly embellished, the details are well defined and perfectly finished. This type of early plate is composed of a layer of silver fused over a copper base which makes it incredibly durable. Even after 2 centuries, the silver is almost completely intact with only minimal copper showing through to the base extremities.
Classically designed featuring the lion masks and feet on a pedestal base and a center pineapple finial. The three arms sweep around in spiral formation towards the gadrooned drip trays and ribbed capitals and sconces.
