A fine example of Georgian era Cabinetmaking, which has been sympathetically restored, true to its era with appropriate hardware replacements and a tooled leather writing surface. It has been recently French polished to bring out the superior grain of the Cuban Mahogany Veneer. Circa 1750 so a very early piece and incredibly scarce in our part of the world. Taking into consideration the era from which it originated, it remains a very versatile piece of furniture for the modern life, it's compact with a foldaway desktop and contains many fitted pidgeon holes and compartments for all those important little gadgets and devices that need an organised and private residence.
